Producer Cho Seong-Hyeon of “I am God” requested to watch not only the story of JMS and Jung Myung-Seok, which is becoming a hot topic, but also the episodes of Agadongsan.
On the morning of March 10th, a press conference was held at Lotte Hotel Seoul in Eulji-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul with PD Cho Seong-Hyeon of the Netflix original series “I am God: Those Who Betrayed by God.”
Regarding the episode of JMS Jung Myeong-Seok, PD Cho Seong-Hyeon said, "It was a pity," and "I thought it would be nice if you could watch the story of Agadongsan”.
“I think the hurdles are high. It's a terrible truth. Also, I think people need time to gather their minds to watch other episodes.”
PD Cho said, “In the case of Episodes 5 and 6 of ‘Agadongsan’, it's probably that an application for an injunction will be filed to prohibit the screening. They did it in the past," he said. "Since there was an injunction to ban broadcasting when we dealt with the story of Agadonsan in the 2000s, I think they will make it again. It can go down, so I hope you will watch it even if it is difficult.”
PD Cho said, “If you watch the broadcast, you will know how scary gaslighting is and how scary pseudo-religions are.” If you want to watch it, I hope you will endure until episode 3 and watch it.”
‘I Am God: Those Who Betrayed by God’ is a Netflix documentary series that traces the events and people behind the ‘Messiah’ in modern Korean history, such as Jung Myeong-Seok from JMS (Christian Gospel Mission), Lee Jae-Rok from Manmin Central Church, and Kim Ki-soon from Agadongsan. After being released on march 3rd, the shocking reality of a pseudo-religion that sexually assaults believers, exploits labor, and even financially exploits them is causing a stir.
