Yoo Jun-won, first place on the MBC audition program 'Boy Fantasy: After-School Heart-pounding Season 2' and was on the brink of making his debut as a Fantasy Boy. However, the 'Boy Fantasy' team announced back in August that Yoo Jun-won's debut had been canceled due to his alleged unauthorized departure from the team and demands for increased profit distribution rates, following his victory in the program's voting.
Regarding this situation, Yoo Jun-won's parents have argued that the reason for not signing with Pocketdol Studio was not profit distribution rates but a breakdown in trust due to the studio's lack of commitment, unclear explanations, and inconsistent positions throughout the exclusive contract and additional agreement negotiations.
The parents expressed their earnest hope that a standard contract based on mutual negotiation could have been established through discussions with the company, expressing regret that such a result was not achieved.
It's worth noting that Fantasy Boys made their debut with 11 members, excluding Yoo Jun-won. Yoo Jun-won has also filed for an injunction to suspend the effectiveness of his exclusive contract with Pocketdol Studio, the management company responsible for Fantasy Boys.
Funky Studio, the production company of 'Boy Fantasy,' has filed a lawsuit against Yoo Jun-won, seeking compensation of 3 billion KRW (approximately 2.5 million USD), indicating that a prolonged legal battle is on the horizon.
In addition, Yoo Jun-won's handwritten statement to a judge with expressed his bewilderment at Kim Kwang-soo(Agency CEO)'s action of collecting Fantasy Boys' mobile phones.
