Survival shows can be grueling for participants who face intense challenges and pressure. Yet, it's within these high-stakes environments that many dreams are realized. Audiences are drawn to these programs, not just for the dramatic stakes but also for the stellar performances that emerge. With "survival" at the core, contestants are pushed to deliver their absolute best, ensuring each episode is packed with moments of raw talent and determination.
Here are some of the fans' favorite survival show performances!
I-Land
Chamber 5 From the show that debuted ENHYPEN, this performance is one the most iconic ones! The sweet vibes, concept, and song were such a memorable one for the fans, especially with the fact that all five of those on this team debuted as ENHYPEN!
Flicker These trainees did not look like trainees in this one! Everything from their facial expressions, vocals, and stage presence, was too good for anyone to believe they're trainees!
Peak Time: DKB - The Real
Although they weren't crowned victor, they never failed to show such an impressive stage from their first to the last. The first one, especially, was their version of ATEEZ's "The Real," captured the hearts of many as they were able to match the original artists' energy and vibe perfectly! It's sad that they're underrated because many people are missing out on these fantastic performers!
Produce 101 Season 1 - "At the Same Place"
Nothing beats the first, they say, and fans agree that no matter how many more Produce series (or even a rebranded version) there will be, this will always be the best one yet. There's just something so intimately magical and precious about this concept stage; you can even feel the sincerity in their performances.
Produce 101 Season 2 - "Never"
Every survival show would have an Avengers team performing that one original song that everyone loves, and this "Never" team will always be the bar for an insanely excellent and energetic performance. The addictive song, sharp choreography, and Kim Jaehwan 's high notes, are the reasons why fans still have this song on replay even after six years.
Produce 48 - "Rumor"
Even if you're not a survival show fan, you HAVE to watch this one. It's a fan-favorite for a reason; every single member of this team literally slayed with their powerful vocals, expression, and stage presence.
Produce X 101 - "Believer"
The original songs are always a hot one in these survival shows, like "U Got It" or "Move," but this dance position stage of "Believer" was truly a powerful one, and fans still talk about it. The trainees proved their dance skills with impressive stage presence and killer facial expressions.
Girls Planet 999 - "Salute"
It was fun seeing them covering a Western song, but adding their own twist to it. It almost sounds like it's actually a K-pop song. If I didn't know Little Mix was the original singer, I would have thought that they were covering a Red Velvet song.
Boys Planet - "Jelly Pop"
Aside from the signal song, it is not often that a finale performance is the most viewed video from a survival show. But, this one was an exception and deservingly so. Especially with a lineup full of amazing vocalists and performers, this is one of the most loved songs ever; it will always be legendary.
Queendom 1: (G)I-DLE - "Put it Straight (Nightmare Ver.)"
When it's (G)I-DLE, you can always expect them to put on a masterpiece on stage. The emotions, facial expressions, everything was terrifyingly beautiful.
Queendom 2 - "Purr"
We always get K-Pop collaborations with non-K-Pop artists, but imagine if we were to have our favorite K-Pop acts collaborating with each other, outside of just for TikTok videos, we'd have the stage on fire with performances such as this! Just look at that energy, girl power, and hotness all in one stage.
Queendom Puzzle - "i DONT GIVE A"
This is what happens when you put all the badasses on one stage - they serve FIRE. This team has the perfect balance of energy between the fierce and smiley members, creating a great synergy together!
Road to Kingdom: The Boyz - "REVEAL"
Whether you watch the show or not, unless you live in a cave, you would most likely have known that
The Boyz went all out and gave their 110% with these grand performances. They have the most beautiful storyline, which they have kept throughout the show - no matter the mission, and their grand stage certainly matches their exceptional skills.
Kingdom: Stray Kids - "I'll Be Your Man"
Although people like their Deadpool-inspired-stage, "GOD'S DDU-DU DDU-DU" more, (even Deadpool himself, Ryan Reynolds likes it - to the point where Ryan and Chan are now besties), this performance has more views, most likely because of the strong vocals in this one. People always say that the group only makes 'construction music' noise, and implying that they don't have too great of a vocal skill - but they proved them wrong with this masterpiece. Fellow artists were especially surprised with Han's powerful vocal skills, because he is mostly known as the group's rapper.
