S.Coups is taking a break from Seventeen's comeback to recover from his knee injury.
On October 19, Pledis Entertainment revealed S.Coup is continuing to recover from the knee injury he suffered this past August, and he won't be able to participate in most of Seventeen's promotions for their 11th mini album 'SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN'. The label stated, "S.Coups suffered a tear in his left anterior cruciate ligament and underwent anterior cruciate ligament and anterolateral ligament reconstruction surgery. He's currently receiving post-surgery care, and he's focusing on his recovery."
Pledis continued, "It's been 2 months since he underwent his surgery, and he's currently recovering. However, the area is still in a vulnerable state. Rehabilitation treatment is crucial at this stage, and he's received medical advice to avoid any physically taxing activities for the time being."
The Seventeen leader himself also took to WeVerse to write, "I wanted to participate in activities as much as I could, but I'll take a hiatus to focus on rehabilitation. That way, I can see you in the long term. You don't like it when I apologize, so rather than being sorry, I'll strengthen my resolve to work harder on my recovery and show you a healthier side of me as soon as possible."
