Philippine bet Nikki De Moura fails to secure the Miss Grand International crown.
Philippine representative Nikki De Moura ended her journey earlier in the Miss Grand International 2023 pageant at Phu Tho Indoor Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
The 19-year-old beauty queen failed to secure her spot in the competition’s Top 20, making it an early exit for the country.
Nikki also garnered attention with her national costume showcasing “festival queen” vibes that represented the country’s rich and colorful culture and traditions.
Meanwhile the Peruvian bet, Luciana Fuster, was proclaimed Miss Grand International 2023. She was crowned by Isabelle Menin of Brazil.
Luciana beat 69 other aspirants for the title. The runner-ups included Ni Ni Lin Eain of Myanmar, Maria Alejandra Lopez of Colombia, Sthephanie Marie of the USA, and Le Hoang Phuong of Vietnam.
The Philippines has yet to win the Miss Grand International crown. The highest place that the country has had in the pageant are two first runner-up titles by Nicole Cordoves in 2016 and Samantha Bernardo in 2020.
Nikki’s predecessor, Roberta Tamondong, finished in the Top 20 last year and was later appointed as fifth runner-up of the pageant.
