Martin Nievera expressed his disappointment over not being able to spend time with his son Santino on the latter's 17th birthday, citing "forces even stronger than God" that kept him away.

Despite being present at the party held for his son before his actual birthday, Martin was unable to see Santino on the day of his birth. Santino has been diagnosed with autism.
