The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has denied rumors that it called on a popular TV personality, believed to be Vice Ganda, to testify regarding his fast food chain advertisement where he was seen eating fried chicken.

The MTRCB states that the rumors are false and malicious and that it did not summon any celebrity related to the fast food commercial. The agency urged people to verify news and be mindful of sources before sharing. It also expressed support for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and the Presidential Communications Office's efforts to combat misinformation.

The Kapamilya noontime show "It's Showtime" recently returned to air after a 12-day suspension by MTRCB. Vice Ganda has yet to comment on the allegations.
