G-Dragon (35, Kwon Ji Yong), who is under suspicion of drug use, voluntarily appeared before the police on November 6. His seemingly nonchalant approach, including stretching exercises and laughter in response to reporters' questions, has triggered mixed responses from netizens.
On November 6 at 1:23 PM KST, Kwon Ji Yong arrived at the Nonyeon Police Station in Incheon, and before standing in front of the press, he performed stretches and loosened his wrist. When reporters asked if he acknowledged the drug use allegations, he replied, "I have not used drugs, and I would like to be investigated quickly."
When asked, "When did you dye or bleach your hair?" G-Dragon gave a brief answer, saying, "I have never done that."
Online reactions to G-Dragon's attitude were mixed. Supporters commented, "He is facing suspicion and online harassment even though he didn't use drugs; I can feel the anger of a person who has been wronged," "He appears relaxed and confident," and "His actions, like stretching today, make him seem upright and doesn't seem like he has anything to hide."
On the other hand, there was criticism of G-Dragon's attitude. Some netizens reacted, "He seems arrogant and insincere," "He lies without even lowering his head; he acts shamelessly," "Yoo Ah In and G-Dragon act like they're the best in the world, they don't seem humble at all because of their early success," "I would be more surprised if he is innocent," "Am I the only one who feel like something's off about him? He used to be so bright before," and "Whether he did drugs or not, he's not normal."
During his visit to the police station, G-Dragon was subject to around four hours of interrogation before he was allowed to return home. Preliminary results from a urine test reportedly came back negative.
