BLACKPINKis currently in the United Kingdom as they were honored as esteemed guests at the South Korea-UK State Banquet held at Buckingham Palace.
The banquet was held on November 21 in honor of South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol visiting the UK to further solidify the cultural bond between the two nations. The event, attended by various British and Korean dignitaries, including Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and members of the royal family, was a significant event showcasing the cultural ties between the two countries.
BLACKPINK graced the banquet as ambassadors of COP26, advocates for the UN's sustainable development goals. The four members were recognized during the banquet for bringing the message of environmental sustainability to a global audience.
Shortly after, various videos highlighting the members at the banquet, and meeting King Charles III were shared on various online communities and social media platforms.
Back in November 2021, at the COP26 Summit in Glasgow, Scotland, BLACKPINK played a significant role as goodwill ambassadors and advocates for climate action.
They released a video calling on world leaders to take climate change seriously
and urged for collective action to combat environmental threats. This participation was part of their ongoing efforts to raise awareness about climate change, in line with their ambassadorship role for COP26.
