Special DJ Suhyun from AKMU made an appearance on MBC FM4U's 'Kim Shin Young's Noon Hope Song' broadcast November 22 KST, where she engaged with listeners and shared an amusing story involving her older brother, Chanhyuk.
In the second part of the show, Suhyun introduced the topic of "A lie I've told at least once." She humorously highlighted some common lies that many Koreans tell, such as sending a text message claiming to be "just 5 minutes away" even when they're clearly late or automatically saying "let's grab a meal sometime" when running into someone.
One listener shared a relatable story about their younger brother, stating that "when my younger brother makes ramen and ask me if I wants some, I'll say I don't want any. However, when I smell the boiling ramen I won't be able to resist every time."
Suhyun said in response "I would never just ask for one bite. If I wanted one bite, I'd rather just make one myself in the first place." She then continued by sharing her experience with her older brother, Chanhyuk.
Suhyun explained, "When my brother was young, he would always ask for 'just one bite, just one bite'. But then he evolved and would say 'I won't eat any' 'I swear I won't eat any' 'I get full just seeing you eat' then after I make it, I'd hear him approaching with his chopsticks. He would then eat a bite without saying a word, and leave. It used to make me so angry."
Another listener chimed in, empathizing with the amusing scenario and confirming that it's a common experience in many households.
Suhyun concluded by humorously stating that now that they're independent, her brother regrets not being able to have a taste of the ramen she prepares.
