Former AOA member ChoA offered advice to her junior idols in the K-pop industry.
On November 28, the production presentation for the new entertainment program 'Sisters At Play (tentative title)' in a joint venture between E Channel and Channel S took place at Cine Cube in Jongno-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by singers Chae Ri Na, Lee Ji Hye, Narsha, Ivy, and ChoA.
'Sisters at Play' is a variety show where female artists who once dominated South Korea with their music come together to speak candidly about their careers, including their struggles and hidden stories that were never shared before.
During the presentation, ChoA was asked to share a word of advice with her juniors in the K-pop industry, and she shared, "Many currently active artists are persevering with the support of medication. Personally, I experienced burnout and took an extended break.."
She continued, "During my period of reflection on how to ensure long-term sustainability, I encountered these senior sisters. Chae Ri Na unnie conveyed, 'It's not about making a big impact immediately; what matters more is enduring and maintaining your current position.''
Choa added, " I realized these senior sisters are living proof, having sustained their careers for a significant duration. I aspire to become living proof as well and offer support to the younger generation."
Meanwhile, ChoA debuted in 2012 as part of the group AOA, gaining popularity for her outstanding vocal skills and unique beauty. However, in June 2017, she left the group due to health reasons and returned as a solo singer in 2020, three years later.
