The eight-member group ATEEZ has successfully penetrated the overseas market with their solid skills and unique personalities. Their recent release, the second full album 'THE WORLD EP. FIN: WILL,' has reached number 2 on the UK's Official Album Chart ‘Top 100.’
According to the latest chart released on the 9th (Korean time), ATEEZ surpassed global pop stars like Canadian jazz singer Michael Bublé and Taylor Swift, securing second place after Peter Gabriel.
Among K-pop groups, only BTS and BLACKPINK have topped this chart before, making this ATEEZ's highest ranking since their debut in 2018.
The UK Official Chart is considered one of the world's most authoritative pop music charts, alongside the American Billboard Chart.
The group reached number 1 on the Billboard main album chart 'Billboard 200' with their second full album 'THE WORLD EP. FIN: WILL.'
In June, their previous release ‘THE WORLD EP.2: OUTLAW’ sold 1.52 million copies in its first week, securing the 2nd position on the Billboard main album chart ‘Billboard 200’ and 10th on the Official Album Chart ‘Top 100.’ At the time, ATEEZ was the second after BTS to enter both charts simultaneously. This is the first time ATEEZ placed #1 on Billboard's 200 Chart.
Since last year, they have been expanding their global fanbase rapidly, attracting over 400,000 attendees in their world tour across Asia, Europe, and North America.
Their second full album, released about four years after their first full album in 2019, includes 12 tracks such as the title song ‘Crazy Form,’ ‘We Know,’ ‘Emergency,’ ‘Silver Light,’ and ‘Dream Day.’
The group recently stated regarding their new album, “We didn’t work on it with Billboard rankings or our career in mind. We believe that if we perform every stage as if it's our last, everyone around the world will recognize us.”
They continued, “We aim to be a group that doesn't rush yet never gives up. We want to make next year a year of proof. We hope to achieve greater feats so that everyone will acknowledge us and the name ATEEZ will be on everyone's lips."
