Jessica recently shared her recollection of leaving Girls' Generation and revealed her candid feelings.
On December 20, Jessica appeared as a special guest on the Singapore comedy podcast 'The Daily Ketchup' and talked about her future activities.
On this day, one of the hosts asked the question, "What is the downside of having such a public life?" Jessica replied, "There are ups and downs and the grass is greener on the other side. Sometimes I feel very blessed but sometimes I feel I want to have my friend's life, just have a normal life. But on the flip side, I love my life too. But nobody can have everything. I try to balance my life as much as I can."
The host also brought up the topic of Jessica leaving Girls' Generation and asked her candidly about how she felt. The host asked, "Right after you left the band (Girls' Generation), a lot of people were speculating on what really happened and I can only imagine how emotionally heavy it must have been. So what went through your head during that period of time?"
Jessica shared, "I try to put the past behind me, try to look at the brighter side. Of course, that time was one of the darkest times of my life, the darkest period of my life. But I had my family and friends to really support me and... my fans were always there. I didn't feel alone. And I felt like it was a good time for me to grow up."
