Multinational girl group BLACKSWAN's agency DR Music has just released a statement announcing legal action to be taken against malicious posts and comments against the members and BLACKSWAN as a group.
In the statement, the agency notes that they have noticed the numerous offensive comments and posts directed to the members of the group, negatively affecting not only the members but also those around them. Therefore, the agency announced that they will be taking firm legal action against any individual who posts malicious posts or comments online regarding BLACKSWAN including general malicious comments, insulting comments around race and country, as well as rumors and untrue statements.
The full statement reads:
"Hello, we are DR Music.
Recently, there have been a lot of offensive comments or posts directed to the members. There are a lot of reckless and malicious content coming up, and the posts are negatively affecting not only the members, but also their families, company staff, and even artists who used to belong to the company. We sincerely ask you to refrain from uploading these negative posts.
BLACKSWAN, a group with members that are distinct from the general K-Pop girl group due to their background, is a multinational group that is enthusiastically supported by people of various nationalities and races around the world. For that reason, things that sometimes seem less significant to someone with different back ground can lead to larger-than-expected quarrels. This poses a lot of difficulties in reaching the goal pursued by us and the members to share positive music (or content) that people around the world can enjoy together beyond
race and culture.
Posting malicious comments or untrue content online without facts can hurt everyone and won't benefit anybody. We hereby inform you that we have no choice but to take legal action if the actions specified below are continuously discovered.
- An indiscriminate malicious comments
- Insulting comments about race and country
- Comments & posts that contain rumors
- Insulting posts
Thank you."
