Rapper B-Free (39, real name Choi Sungho) is currently under police investigation for allegedly disrupting the election campaign of a candidate from the conservative party.
The Seoul Dobong Police Station reported on March 4 that B-Free has been booked on charges of obstructing the election campaign.
According to the police, B-Free is accused of pushing and verbally abusing Kim Jae Seob, a campaigner for the candidate in Seoul's Dobong district, near Exit 3 of Ssangmun Station on Seoul Subway Line 4 around 6 p.m. on the 16th of last month.
Police responded to a report of 'someone causing a disturbance during an election campaign' and confirmed B-Free's identity upon arriving at the scene and proceeded to book him.
Even around 6 p.m. on the same day, B-Free was reported for causing a disturbance at Kim's campaign site.
The police plan to summon B-Free soon to investigate the motive behind the offense and the detailed circumstances surrounding the incident.
Back in 2016, B-Free was in a controversy for stating he would slap BTS. He later apologized in 2019.
