'Physical 100' returned with season 2 and garnered much attention and popularity,
'Physical: 100' is an extreme competition variety show where 100 people, each boasting the ultimate physique, compete to find the best 'physique'.
'Physical: 100 Season 2 – Underground' continued its impressive streak, achieving the No. 1 spot in the Netflix global TOP 10 non-English TV show category for two consecutive years. From the 25th to the 31st of last month, it rose to 2nd place in the non-English TV show category, dominating the TOP 10 for two consecutive weeks. It also recorded 4.2 million views (viewing time divided by the total running time of the show) and made it to the TOP 10 lists in 74 countries, including the US, Canada, France, Germany, the UK, Egypt, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Taiwan, and more.
The final episodes, 8 and 9, released on April 2, revealed the results of the intense aerial cargo lifting competition between Kim Dong Hyun's team, Lee Jae Yoon's team, and Hong Beom Seok's team, which had garnered immense interest.
As the unpredictable climax unfolded, viewers and fans watched on tenterhooks as they anticipated the two winning teams. Unfortunately, Kim Dong Hyun's team was eliminated, and team leader Kim Dong Hyun shared, "They're very competent contestants who could've advanced further had I not chosen them. Being part of this show and seeing my torso, I now realize how pathetic my body looks. I'm going to go back to the body I had in my fighting days."
The fourth quest featured a survival competition where only one member from each team could advance to the final quest, a first-come-first-served roller race. After surviving the loser's revival match, the elite Avengers team led by Jeong Ji Hyun displayed formidable strength, engaging in fierce competition unlike any other team.
However, these team members now compete against each other. After intense team battles, only one member from each of the four teams survived to compete in the final quest. Although they were disappointed to be eliminated, the participants cheered for their teammates.
In the final quest, the TOP 4, Amotti, Hong Beom Seok, Andre Jin, and Justin Harvey, battled fiercely. They faced challenges like guarding Thor's hammer, infinite squats with increasing weights for each set, and a pillar-pushing showdown between the last two standing.
The two finalists were Amotti and Hong Beom Seok, as they two took another step closer to the winning platform.
After the final competition, it was Amotti who came in on top.
The runner-up, Hong Beom Seok, who gave his all until the end, shared his thoughts, "Honestly I'm a bit...I'm quite disappointed but I have no regrets. Thanks to Physical 100, I had a great experience and made a lot of good memories. I will continue to live without fear of failure and I'll keep challenging myself."
The winner, Amotti, also shared, "My daily goal was to work hard in every moment and leave no regrets. My determination to work hard and not give up is what led me to achieve this great result. To the other 99 contestants who joined me on this journey, thank you very much."
In the interview, he also added, "I came in first out of 100 contestants. The one who survives is the strongest. And I survived. One thing I've learned while working out is that there are so many strong people in this world. Though my time here wasn't that long, I made a lot of good memories."
