NCT Dream's Renjun revealed the Kakaotalk message he received from a Sasaeng fan, along with the reply he gave them.
On April 7, Renjun received a Kakaotalk message from a Sasaeng fan and chose to share the message on the fan communication app Bubble, exposing the person for their malicious message.
In the message, the Sasaeng fan criticized, "Idols these days have it too easy. They earn money easily, date freely with the visuals they have, but they f***ing suck in live performances, and they lack the passion seen in the previous generations. They are just too relaxed. They should just take away the idols phones again."
In response, Renjun replied, "Instead of being a rat, hiding behind a screen, typing these kinds of messages, you should say it to my face with a lawyer present if you have something to say."
He also took to Bubble to express his frustration and commented, "Idols are human too. We face difficulties too! Are you criticizing us without even experiencing our busy schedules? It's only natural for us to present ourselves as beautiful and appealing, that's how we can share the energy collectively."
He added, "If you pursue your dreams with dedication, financial success will follow. Are there any professions that don't offer financial rewards?" and "Live your life to the fullest. Don't waste time on irrelevant matters or people. Instead, learn to find inner peace and calm. Don't direct your frustrations towards others."
In reaction to Renjun's response, netizens had mixed responses. Some praised him, saying, "He handled it well considering the circumstances," while others criticized him, questioning why he chose to share the sasaeng's message publicly and suggesting that he should have handled the situation more discreetly.
They commented, "I can imagine the suffering he went through with Sasaeng fans. That's why he had to expose it pubically," "I think being an idol is so tough," "These Sasaeng fans are disgusting," "How did they get Renjun's number?" "Wow," "He should've just filed a lawsuit quietly," "There must be more things they go through that we don't know," "Renjun said it well," "They are so scary." and "These Sasaengs do so many unimaginable things."
