Chanel, a French luxury brand, has selected gJennie as its Chanel 22 bag model. Jenny has been a Chanel ambassador since 2017 and is called 'Human Chanel'.
On the 22nd, Chanel said, “Jennie is an iconic K-pop artist who enjoys worldwide popularity, and for this campaign, she led Inez and Vinood through the streets of Seoul and implemented a mini version of the latest Chanel bag.” Inez and Vinid are a famous Dutch photographer duo, and they were in charge of the campaign photo shoot.
Just as actors Lily Rose Depp, Margaret Qualley, and Whitney Pick breathed life into the tote and backpack versions of the Chanel 22 bag, Inez and Vinood created an original story for the fourth episode based on Jenny's taste and personality. Following Los Angeles, Palm Springs, and New York, the background of this campaign is Seoul, the capital of Korea.
Jennie said, "Inez and Vinood call me 'My Girl'. I feel comfortable because they see me as an ordinary girl, not as ‘Jenny’ in the spotlight. As a member of Blackpink, I go on stage and stand in front of the public, but I think this campaign shows what kind of person I am.”
“My first solo song came out when I was 22, and I started a new world tour with Blackpink in 2022. To me, 22 means a new beginning,” he said, revealing his affection for the number 22.
The campaign photos were released on the 21st, and the video will be released on April 3rd.
