Black Pink's Jenny's 'The Idol', Song Joong-ki's 'Hwaran', and Song Kang-ho's 'Spider's House' were invited to the 76th Cannes International Film Festival.

On the morning of April 13th (local time), the 76th Cannes Film Festival Secretariat announced the official invitation list in Paris, France. The Cannes International Film Festival is the most prestigious of the international film festivals and attracts the attention of film fans around the world, and will be held in Cannes, France from May 16th to 27th.

Jenny's first acting work, 'The Idol' and Song Kang-ho's 'Spider's House' were invited to the non-competition category. In addition to 'The Idol' and 'The Spider's Nest', 'Indiana Jones: Dial of Destiny' directed by James Mangold and 'Killers of the Flower Moon' directed by Martin Scorsese were named in the non-competitive category.

'The Idol' tells the story of love and the world of the music industry where a popular female pop singer lives in the background of the music industry in Los Angeles. It was directed by HBO's 'Euphoria' director Sam Levinson and co-produced by singer The Weeknd.

It boasts a splendid lineup including actress Lily-Rose Depp, singers The Weeknd, Troye Sivan, and Dan Levy, and is attracting great attention, especially as it is Jenny's first acting work.

'The Spider's House' is set in the 1970s, and director Kim (Song Kang-ho), is obsessed with re-shooting the ending of the film 'The Spider's House', and censorship authorities, actors, and producers do not understand the changes. 

Director Kim Ji-Woon, who was invited to the Cannes International Film Festival for 'A Bittersweet Life' in 2005 and 'The Good, the Bad, and the Weird' in 2008, meets a global audience at the Cannes Film Festival for the third time.

It is undecided whether Jenny will attend the Cannes International Film Festival. On this day, the local media Deadline reported, "According to the organizers, it has not yet been confirmed whether Jenny will attend the Cannes Film Festival."

Song Joong-ki stepped on the red carpet at the Cannes International Film Festival for the first time in his life. Director Kim Chang-hoon's feature film debut, 'Hwaran', was invited to the non-competitive 'Notable Gaze' category. The 'Notable Gaze' section introduces original and unusual works from various regions and cultures.

'Hwaran' depicts the story of Yeon-gyu, a boy who wants to escape from a hellish reality, when he meets Chi-geon (Song Joong-ki), the boss of an organization, and ends up in a dangerous world. Song Joong-ki, actor Hong Sa-bin, and singer Bibi appear together.

As it is Song Joong-ki's first entry into the Cannes Film Festival, it is attracting attention from national and foreign fans. In particular, attention is being paid to whether Song Joong-ki's wife, British actress Katie Louise Saunders, will attend the film festival with Song Joong-ki.
