Group BTS member Suga's first solo album 'D-day' released last month ranked second on the US Billboard's main album chart 'Billboard 200'.
Billboard announced on the 1st (local time) in an online chart preview article that 'D-Day' sold 140,000 copies and ranked second this week. This is the highest ranking recorded by a K-pop solo singer along with Jimin of the same group.
The top spot was taken by American country singer Morgan Wallen's "One Thing at a Time," which has been at the top for eight weeks.
'Billboard 200' calculates the ranking by adding the sales volume of traditional albums such as physical CDs, the number of streams converted to album sales (SEA), and the number of digital music downloads converted to album sales (TEA).
Suga's physical album sales were 122,000 copies, the streaming conversion figure was 12,500 copies, and the download conversion figure was 5500 copies.
It became the best-selling album in the United States this week for a physical album, and the fourth-highest weekly sales record this year, according to Billboard.
Billboard said, "D-Day' was sold as a physical album consisting of CDs and photo cards, and a digital download album that can only be purchased on the artist's official website." It was digital music sales," he explained.
With this, Suga became the third member of BTS to enter the top 10 of the Billboard 200. At the beginning of last month, Jimin took second place on this chart with 'Face', and RM took third place with 'Indigo' last year.
