"Love makes me happy,” said Ahn Hyo-seop, Bench's new  global ambassador, when introducing the Korean star to the media. Amidst all the speculations about his love life, the handsome actor said this in the context of how he feels during his ongoing fan meetings. He was referring to the mutual love between him and his fans, known as Pauljjaks. The fan meeting tour is called “Here and Now” and has arrived in Manila. The concept behind this is  “one can only be happy in the present,  here and now”.

“This is my first time coming to the Philippines and seeing everyone's warm welcome makes me very happy.”

He had a happy look on his face but sometimes looked skeptical (or was it embarrassed?) when many fans screamed.

The Business Proposal actor spoke with a lot of thought behind his words, whether to the press or during our one-on-one interview. As for becoming a  global ambassador for Bench, he is “honored to be part of a brand with such a rich and deep history. I also like comfortable clothes and I wear my Bench at home as well as when I go out."

During our interview at the Grand Hyatt, he added: “Bench promotes diversity and I grew up in Canada in a multicultural community. This allows me to become one of its ambassadors. This idea suits me very well."

The "Here and Now" fan meeting was truly dedicated to his fans. There is no lack of warmth to them. “There is a lot of love here right now,” Hyo-seop said. “I want to thank you for always supporting me.”

He even wrote Pauljjaks a letter expressing his gratitude:

“All the love you have given me, I want to return it with love. Thanks to you I exist. Thank you for allowing me to exist."
