Miss Grand Philippines 2023 contestant Catherine Camilon's mother simply wants her daughter home safely for her birthday.
Denice Abante said on GMA Regional TV Balitang Southern Tagalog that the 26-year-old beauty queen met someone in Batangas City around 6 p.m. on Friday.
When Catherine last texted, her mother, Rosario, said she was in her SUV at a Bauan, Batangas gas station.
They failed to approach the beauty queen and teacher after several hours.
"Simula nga ho noong mauso 'yang cellphone na 'yan, 'yang internet na 'yan, wala ho siyang araw na nagsasabing, 'ina nandito ako, ina ako ay nakain.'" Rosario stated.
Rosario hopes her daughter will be well enough to come home for her birthday.
Ana, ikaw umuwi. Anak, if nasaan ka man, it's maayos, so ligtas. Umuwi ka at ilalim namin "said.
It's her birthday, therefore I'll celebrate her. Anak, umuwi ka na, kami naikaw ay makita. Anak, miss us "said.
Tuy Police Station Chief Police Major Nepthali Solomon claimed they had searched for Catherine with a "flash alarm".
"Nag-request na rin po tayo ng mga CCTV kung saan po siya huling na-update ng pamilya," said he.
The gas station Catherine mentioned lacked CCTV.
The police stated they would backtrack to find the beauty queen.
After this, Batangas Police Provincial Office Director Police Colonel Samson Belmonte ordered "intensified efforts in tracing and gathering information" on Catherine's location.
The cops said "stations and units across Batangas Police Province are working together with the Tuy Municipal Police Station in searching for any trace or information."
"Anyone with reliable information may report to the Tuy Municipal Police Station via their Station Hotline 0998-598-5711."
Catherine represented Tuy, Batangas in Miss Grand Philippines 2023.
Her sister, Chin-chin Camilon, asked netizens for help finding her last week.
