aespa, Karina and Ningning, were recently guests on MBC's '4MFU with Kim Shin-young.' Fresh from their recent comeback with the new song "Drama," the duo showed their excitement and enthusiasm about their latest musical endeavor.
Karina expressed her love for the new song, saying, "It's twice as good when you watch it along with the performance, rather than just listening. Please make sure to watch it with the performance."
When questioned about the process of learning complex choreography, Ningning provided some behind-the-scenes insight. "Learning the choreography can be accomplished in a day - maybe two to three hours. But getting the synchronization and the detailed nuances right—it takes significantly more time." She revealed that they had been rehearsing for "Drama" for about a year. "We were originally scheduled to make a comeback with this song during our 'Spicy' promotions, but things did not work out as planned."
Karina interjected humorously, "We kept facing postponements, and now at last, we've managed to burst forth into the world."
The show’s host, Kim Shin-young, steered the conversation towards the group's preferred vacation spots given the chance for some downtime. Ningning revealed that a trip to Jeju Island was on the pipeline, despite Hawaii being an option. She elaborated that all the members had collectively decided on the destination.
Ningning continued unfolding their travel plans by stating, "Initially, we intended to visit Busan, but I'd already been there for an event the previous week."
She brought forth an amusing tidbit from their earlier visit to Busan, "While we were there, the parents of Winter (another aespa member) generously booked our hotel room. We had all four members crowded in one room, but it was an enjoyable experience."
In response, Kim Shin-young humorously interjected, "So the tale of the Winter family's hospitality finally emerges." To this, Karina replied affectionately, expressing her gratitude: "We're so grateful. We love you."
