Netizens were abuzz as they discussed a particular boy group member who was allegedly at a nightclub.
On an online forum, netizens dived into a controversial conversation concerning The Boyz' Juyeon for being tagged at a nightclub. This story was discovered by a netizen who saw a social media post uploaded by Juyeon's non-celebrity friend. The netizen curiously stressed that his appearance at the club occurred on the same morning as the '2023 MBC Gayo Daejejeon,' attended by The Boyz for their performance.
The netizen who broke the news explained that Juyeon had been tagged in the original Instagram Story of the non-celebrity friend but was later untagged. By examining the other tagged accounts in the post, netizens deduced that a female model was also present at the gathering.
Speculation arose that the gathering was, in fact, a birthday party for an acquaintance and had taken place within a private room at a recently opened club in Hannam Dong.
The original poster on the forum pointed out that this issue might have escalated considerably "if it had involved another male or female idol staying out late at a club the night before their scheduled performance."
However, not all netizens were convinced of any wrongdoing. Some argued that the location didn't appear to be a typical nightclub and suggested that Juyeon may have attended the event as a colleague in the fashion industry, given his numerous magazine pictorials and fashion show appearances. They also noted that The Boyz's special performance at the 'MBC Gayo Daejejeon' was pre-recorded, and their live performance technically took place on January 1 KST.
While some criticized fellow netizens for bringing up the female model's association, as she supposedly has a boyfriend, others raised concerns about the challenges faced by male idols maintaining a flawless image after several years in the industry. Some even expressed that the possibility of male idols entering mandatory military service seemed like the 'best-case scenario,' so that they can take a break after 7 of 8 years of promoting since debut.
Comments include:
"It's just best for idols to steer clear of clubs"
"Lol do you think we are mad because our kid when to the club? We're fine lol"
"I don't understand fans who are getting mad about this. It doesn't matter if he didn't cause harm to his schedule. Is he not allowed to hang out with his own friends?"
"It's sad how none of the female idols could be exposed about being seen at clubs when the male idols can ugh lol"
"Why did the friend tag him..."
"I'm not even disappointed. I guess it's just time for them to go for their mandatory military service"
"I am that kind of person who is seriously delusional about Juyeon and yet this issue has not even been a shock to me lmao"
"But not all birthday parties take place at clubs"
"One should be careful about clubs though. Boy groups showing up at clubs? Is it okay if you can ask your bias group 'What did you do last night' and they answer 'I went to a club'?"
"He delivered his performance just fine so it doesn't matter"
