On the 8th, Baekhyun, Xiumin, and Chen (CBX) of EXO announced the official start of their independent label, 'I&B100', promising a variety of activities.
Their individual activities under this label will be based on mutual consultation with SM Entertainment. Consequently, Baekhyun, Xiumin, and Chen's individual activities, as well as their team activities as 'CBX', will be managed under 'I&B100', while their group activities as 'EXO' will continue under 'SM Entertainment'.
The independent label 'I&B100' stated that this new challenge originated from the members' efforts and sincerity to approach their fans in a more creative and genuine way. They asked for warm encouragement and support for their challenge towards change and growth and requested continued support for EXO and its group activities.
'I&B100' plans to revive the musical individuality and color of its members and to engage in creative endeavors and experiments to communicate with fans in various ways. This includes pursuing the members' long-held dreams of production and producing. They also plan to showcase the members' production skills and capabilities, which have not been revealed before.
Meanwhile, SM Entertainment commented on the future direction of EXO's activities, stating that EXO will continue its activities with all 8 members, presenting new music and performances. They plan to meet fans through various activities, including the EXO fan meeting scheduled for April.
Regarding the contracts, they mentioned that the exclusive contracts with members who have completed re-signing are still valid. D.O. (Do Kyungsoo), whose contract has ended, also agreed to continue participating in EXO's activities. They are in continuous discussion about future schedules.
For Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin, under the exclusive contract, an agreement has been made with the company allowing them to independently conduct personal activities. They promised to continue to work hard and support the activities and growth of EXO and each member.
